Pedro José Cañamero González

Chief Financial Officer, Enel North America

Pedro José Cañamero González is Chief Financial Officer for Enel North America, where he oversees all activities for the Administration, Finance and Control departments.   

Mr. Cañamero has over 20 years of industry experience, including 6 years in finance working for major Spanish banks and Hedge Funds, and 14 years with Enel’s international subsidiaries in Italy, Chile and Slovakia.  

In 2008, Mr. Cañamero joined the Enel Group and worked for over 5 years in key Investor Relations roles before becoming Head of Investor Relations for Enel Chile, where he was responsible for managing the shareholder activity of the USD 14 billion market capital company in 5 Latin America countries. During 2016 and 2017 he performed M&A activities for the Group as Senior Project Manager and in 2018, he was nominated Chief Financial Officer for Enel Slovakia and managed all aspects of financial, P&C, accounting, tax, finance communications, insurance and risk management. Mr. Cañamero was also appointed a Member of the Board of Directors at Enel Slovakia where he evaluates main company decisions. 

Mr. Cañamero earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Complutense University of Madrid, in Spain. He also obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration from Luiss Business School in Italy, and an Advance Executive Program Certificate from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish.
