Cristiano Bussi
Head of Administration, Finance and Control, Enel North America
Cristiano Bussi is the Head of Administration, Finance, and Control at Enel North America, where he oversees industrial planning, budgeting, and reporting across the organization. He is responsible for guiding the evolution of financial and operational performance, leading a team that assesses investment proposals, mergers and acquisitions, and driving strategic financial decision-making.
Born in Livorno in 1976, Cristiano holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pisa. He first connected with Enel in 2001, shortly after graduating, when he worked as an intern at the Enel Research Center in Pisa in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering. In 2011, he completed the “Leadership for Energy” Management Program at SDA Bocconi School of Management and IESE Business School.
Cristiano officially joined Enel in 2002 as Planning and Control Manager for various renewable and thermoelectric power plants and supply chains across Italy, working directly on site. In 2014, he was promoted to Planning and Control Manager for Generation in Italy. He later took on increasingly international roles within the Global Power Generation Business Line—first as Head of Operational Control, and then as Head of Operational Performance Optimization for Thermal Generation. In 2018, he returned to Administration, Finance, and Control as Head of Planning and Control for the Thermal Generation Business Line, which merged with Enel Green Power in 2019. He also served on the Board of Directors of Enel Generación Chile.
Cristiano is married and the father of two children. He enjoys running and is an avid supporter of the Italian soccer team Juventus. His other passions include traveling and movies.
